Listening to ESPN radio and they said the Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting Bill Cowher will return to that city early next week to announce he is retiring.

I hope he does retire. He went through the heaven and hell of that franchise and came out on top finally.

Looks like the announcement will come Monday. Replacement could be Russ Grimm or Ken Wisenhunt from the assistant coaches in Pitt. The Gazette guy said John Fox might want to watch his back, 'cause if it ever goes bad in Carolina then Cowher would be there waiting.

Whichever doesn't get the job will probably get snagged by Atlanta.
