Are you mad because Simms is the future of this franchise, and Rice sucks???

Funny thing is as bad as Rice was this year, he was still better than Simms. At least Rice didn't help the team by getting hurt.
We all know you're a smart guy Dal....everyone says something stupid every once in a while. You get a pass on this one.

Interesting.  Simms said "I think the shotgun is an advantage."

Excellent interview with some insights about just what the "Art of QB'ing" is all about.  Cool.

anything interesting??

He talked about just what a QB sees at the NFL level, saying that as you go through your progression, what your basically getting is not much more than a series of snapshots.

#1 as you approach the center, #2 as the Defense shifts, #3 at your first receiver in your progression, #4 at your second option, and on down.  Your reacting to these pieces of info as quickly as possible.  Where are my receivers?  Where are the defenders?  Are those defenders leaning/looking in a certain direction?  Can I make this throw?

In that context, he said the shotgun does help him get a better angle for these snapshots.

Good, I hope Gruden drops his pride or whatever and gives simms whatever options he thinks he is best at, the Shotgun would help the whole team imo

Right, it's Gruden's 'pride' that gets in the way.

I think that (the optimist in me, anyway) Gruden learned alot this last year.  He's still young, and his year-ending press conference seemed to indicate that he saw some things in retrospect that could've been done differently.  I think he even mentioned the shotgun and playing guys more in preseason by name.

Anyone know if there's a place to get the transcripts of this interview...or even an audio playback?
