Ok the way i see it there is db's lb's and dl on defense. One of those three are gonna be pick #19 since we havnt addressed defense. We lost two olb last week. I know many dont think lb at 19 is worth the pick but my simplistic model makes it a basic 33% chance it COULD happen. So what do you think of Clay Matthews? I hear he has a great motor and is a future star. I know we have black, hayes and the other guy fighting for these spots but they really dont have much more experience than a rookie when it comes to playing time. So whats your thoughts????

Id rather have Rey Rey or Cushings. I have a feeling we will select Smith the CB from Wake Forest though.

Harris in round 3 is a HUGE reach. We could probably get him in round 6.
Connor Barwin would be nice to have too.

If we do go OLB in the 1st, I would like Clay over Cushing. The guy is going to make it in the league just through his hard work. And Cushing has durability concerns.

Any of the 3 USC LBs would be a good pick at 19. They all bring different things to the table. Matthews specializes in getting to the QB, Ray roamss the middle, and I suspect Cushing fits best for what we are looking for and is likely the most physically gifted of the three.

Clay Matthews would be an awesome addition to the Buc D IMO

Well in the 1st that really means a LB should be an every down player, and since the Bucs have Ruud that would mean the only consideration would be for a weakside guy. Matthews and Lauranitis are the only two that could possibly play that, but neither look that good for the part but there's not much scouting on Matthews for me to say for sure. Cushing and Maualuga are not space LB's so I'm not even interested in them. The Bucs are better off with the guys they got already since they are quicker type LB's.

Well, I have issues with Cushing.

I'd be for taking a CB and if he happens to be from Wake Forrest that's a bonus.

Unless you get a generational type player like Brooks, Lewis, Willis, etc., I'm just not a believer that 1st round 4-3 linebackers are really difference makers. You can so easily find solid-to-good linebackers in rounds 2-4 I think you're much better off going DL or CB if you need a defensive player with elite athleticism.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.
