For those who missed it.
John Lynch is on a short list of potential cap casualies for Denver....Do you think the bridges here are too burned?

I'd applease the goob troops more than anything....great player for us, not sure I want him back quite honestly (at his age and his health concerns purely.)

While I love John Lynch, I believe he's lost more than a step.  Sign him for one day so he can retire a BUC!!!

Does he want to be our assistant DB coach? If yes than sure, otherwise no.

That would be a great return by any measure, I'd do backflips (or at least one land-on-my-neck flip) but I'd be surprised if Lynch wanted to come back to a team that's clearly in transition on defense and won't sniff a SB for at least a couple of years..

You could move Jermaine into a backup role at this point.  Lynch is slow, isn't a pass defender, but he can hammer RBs.  I can't recall seeing him get trucked...

It only adds to Raheems toy chest, IMO.  For the right cost.

Plus, he would bring seats into Tampa, because he is John Friggin' Lynch.

I agree sign him for the day and he retires a buc but we do have to do something about our saftey spot(s).Maybe Griffin from Texas or Merriweather from Miami

The Bucs need an upgrade at the Safety position. Lynch is a better tackler than Phillips but he can't cover anymore.  He plays almost as a cross between a 4th LBer and safety for the Broncs. I also see more and more of him as a pile jumper in run support with the occasional solid play. He might be a slight upgrade over Phillips but I think the Bucs need more.

From what I have herd is that Lynch has moved his family from San Diego to Denver. He loved Sandiego but he likes Denver a lot better. John probably will renegotiate his contract. How ever Denver's knew defensive coordinator might not want Lynch. Lynch is pretty bull headed.

On the flip side he might consider coming back to the Bucs for 1 more year then retire. Here is why. Lynch knows Morris our new secondary coach and likes him a lot. Also Bucs now have Denver's last year defensive coordinator as their defensive line coach. Also every won loves the full Monte Kiffin.

It would be a big decision for Lynch to leave his family during the season

The Bucs regret not making a move on Dwight Smith, I'm sure they would embrace this opportunity.

Jon Gruden does not like old white players who wear a number in the 40's.

Love to have Lynch and Sapp back. But only as coaches.  But them being here would be awesome.
