http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2007/01/carr_talk_around_the_nfl.html

Word around the league is that Carr could be had for a 4th...

Chris Simms vs. David Carr vs. Bruce Gradkowski

I think  we would have a pretty good QB stable for Gruden to work with...

And no more excuses either...

Hmmm. Really? I'd take him for a fourth, without hesitation.

I can believe that.  Steve McNair went to the Ravens for a fourth round pick.

4th? You figure Carr is likely better than any R4 pick he could make so that seems like a risk/reward you can take.

Carr's salary whihc is what we'd be on the hook for: 5,250,000.00 if that factors into anyone's decision.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

The only consideration would be the salary.

Funny thing to see how their garbage is our glitter if you scroll down for the comments:

"You can do worse at quarterback than David Carr, and nobody wants to just throw away a former No. 1 pick."I Beg to differ. Carr could not even serve as a backup on most rosters. Dump him now.

If we can get a third rd the Texans need to jump on it!!

On Carr, if some team does offer up a 3rd round, the Texans better jump and run as fast as they can.

Carr sucks,so please trade him, even for a 4th rnd pick

Who do we replace Carr with? ANYONE!!!!!!

Since the bonus is absorbed by the Texans in the trade there are a lot of things we can do with his salary. If he looks atrocious during the preseason we could cut him with no financial loss(as none of it would be guaranteed until game 1). If we needed some of that cap room we could restructure his contract by giving him a few bonuses and lowering his salary, so the 5.25 mil isnt a big concern given the options IMHO.

If you enjoyed watching Rob Johnson, you will love Carr.  Plus Arm, Plus Accuracy, Plus Athletic Ability, little to no ability to read a defense.

Granted, he has only been with Kubiak one season, but if he doesn't see potential in a former #1 overall pick, then I am not sure what value he would have with us.

Gary Kubiak is the greatest coach on Earth, being that Brian Griese did wonders with them and jack crap with us....so Mr. 'Realist' who do you want?
