He had a 1,000 yard season last year, he still has a lot left in the tank.

We have some ridiculous TE's in the NFC South.

Shockey, Winslow, and Gonzalez.

Every one of our teams also has a stud #1 WR, Steve Smith, Colston, Bryant, and White. This should make for some fun games to watch this season.

Yeah and Torry Holt had a 1,000 season in '07, and Shaun Alexander had a 1800 yards in 05, and Ahman Green had a 1000 yards in in '06

It's not a gradually decline with these players.

They just drop off the face of the earth

Gonzo had over a grand in yardage last year.

He might have less this year because the Falcons do not throw it all that much.  Not because he is 33...

He is a big dude, and that is the problem.

A great pick up for the Falcons. As much as I try not to, I really like what they have done there in the last year or so. I think Ryan is going to have a monster year.

This trade and the Cassel trade make the K2 trade looks retarded. As of right now, and I don't want to hear the in the long run argument because K2 could be a bum by then too.

Why?

Because of that precious 5th round draft pick?

At this point in their respective careers.

I think the Winslow trade is better

Agree 100%...I can't wait to see Sabby fly across the middle and knock Gonzos head off

Yeah he is. Gonzo gave us fits last year.

I'd still rather have K2 but this makes the Falcons even more formidable for the next couple years. All that offense was missing was a big safety valve for Ryan.

72 TDs in 10 years for Gonzo vs. 11 TDs in 5 years for Winslow...

Dude no one said K2 is a better TE than Tony Gonzalez.

TGon is statistically the best TE in the history of the NFL and is going to be in the Hall of fame.

Would you rather have had Brett Favre in '08 or Phillip Rivers?

No, but we gave our 2rd pick for a TE with more question marks than this team, unbelievable. I guess that’s what happens when you are an inexperienced GM.  :o

Why does it look retarded?  From my view point it looks like we didn't waste a 1st round pick on a mediocre QB like Cassel and then KC traded away his best receiving option.  Who's he going to have around him to make him look serviceable like he did last year?  Dwayne Bowe and........help me out I'm drawing a blank.  Not to mention whos the Head Coach? Todd Haley, the same guy that had to sit Matt Lienart for struggling in his system.  Lienart and Cassel are clones of each other with their lack of arm strength.

If KC was smart they would have traded Matt Cassel to the Broncos for Cutler and a 1st rounder, they could have gotten it because McDaniels would have given that much up for his guy.

Mark Dominic looks like a genius compared to Pioli right now.  Its even more clear who was running the show up in NE.  BB manage to screw two more of his former collegues with one move. Fortunately for McDaniels they ended up getting a king's ransom for Cutler which should help them in the long run.
