Big deal.   The Bucs weren't going to beat the Falcons this year anyway.   So they lose 37-3 instead of 30-3.

im starting to see the humor in your posts.

here we go throwing around stats again.  72 tds in the past 10 years to 11 in 5 for winslow.  look at the teams last year Gonzo had one less than td than KW2 has his whole career, could that possibly be because KC has been more known for passing the ball over that timeframe.yes they have had some good runners but they are a vertical offense from the time Vermeil came onboard.  not to mention last year aside from Bowe who did they have that was a viable receiving option? also take into account KC for the most part had been a playoff team.  compare to the Browns who have been perenial cellar dwellers for the most part since they re-joined the league in 99 and for all but one year had Braylon Edwards as a receiving option.  also it wasn't until 2001 when Gonzo had Grbac/Moon throwing to him that he started taking off stats wise, then having Trent Green getting him the ball regularly didn't hurt either, compared to Garcia,Holcomb,Frye,Dilfer,DA,and Quinn

I think this spells a Dorsey trade to the Falcons.

On the bright side, the Pants just gave Jake all kinds of money. Guess they're looking to run first...

I think that Gonzalez going to Atlanta makes OLB that much more important as they will have the duty of covering him ..

It should help eliminate the possibility of Brian Cushing who lacks coverage skills and would get shredded ...   Clay Matthews will be the best of the USC linebackers and the only one I hope we would draft

I think our existing LB'rs will be more than sufficient - and I see what you're saying.   Don't like Cushing at all.

Gonzo has the size to manhandle an 'smaller' DE and he gets to the second level quite often... (crafty bastard.)

2nd rounder NEXT YEAR, 2010....Falcons hosed the Chiefs on that one. Now Ryan has his safety blanket extended.

The BUCS are gonna surprise people this year!

So next year, the Falcons are out a decent pick, and they get a TE for 2 years.  I doubt at 35, 36 Gonzo is going to be much of a factor in the NFL.  He will have slowed down a good deal by then.

At least we can find out if our linebackers and safeties are any good, if they can answer the bell against guys like Gonzalez they may be the long term answer.

Interesting that both the Bucs and Saints got the guy that the Saints were hoping to get last year, but missed on.
