The only thing that made him look better was that ridiculous defense.

True.

I have to go on record about this:  I am not a fan of David Carrs.  I think the man is just more "potential"...

If I were the Bucs, this would be the first thing I would do in Free Agency. Trade away our 4th round pick, 3rd if necessary and get this guy down here to compete for the job. Let the best man win.

We need to fix the position. Carr may not be that fix, but his competition here will certainly help.

Harrington in DET 57%, 12 TD, 12 INT, Harrington in MIA 57% 12 TD, 15 INT. Same guy.

Trent Dilfer in Tampa (1999) 59%, 11 TD, 11 INT.
Trent Dilfer in Baltimore (2000) 59%, 12 TD, 11 INT.

The only thing that made him look better was the SB win.

every person and situation is different so i really cant go with that thought.  all this kid needs is a second wind like Breez got

I'd rather have Jake the Snake than Carr but I imagine the price would be more also.

So we trade for Carr and then draft his replacement with our 1st round pick?  :P

As I have said in another thread
Lets trade for Carr give Texas our 3rd pick and we get their 8th pick, 40th pick and Carr. That way we keep our high 3rd round pick and we pick up an extra high 2nd round pick.

Maybe we can pick with the 8th pick Okeye UT or Brown LT from Penn

Given the depth this year, I wouldn't mind wrapping him into a trade down.  But if he's the plan to get the offense going, we could be in trouble.  I don't trust Simms with the reins, I'm not sure I'd trust Carr over him.  We need a vet with some history of success.

I don't see the interest in a player that has proved nothing.  If the bucs are bringing in a FA qb I don't see how anyone but Garcia could be considered a solution and at his age maybe for not a long time.

IF the club has decided to upgrade qb talent THIS year the draft is the only way I see it happening but for Garcia.  And with Oakland and Detroit picking in front of the bucs the question could well be Quinn V Russell.  That is an interesting choice.

But there are success stories as well, like Thomas Jones.

Great example, DTG.
