Tiger-

To date I have seen and heard backlash regarding those very issues.  To date I have yet to see a resolution.  It is easy to bemoan something much more difficult to solve it.  Wouldn't it be cool if we were debating solutions in lieu of one side screaming at another side and offering no alternatives?

They key word here is REPRESENTATIVE. This person was elected to REPRESENT her constituents. If she is not prepared to listen how can she represent?

She can even be so bold as to say she does not agree with them and is going to vote for it anyway, you have the ballot box to fire me next year. But she does have to listen. That's her job!!

Maybe if the Dittoheads and Beck's Buffoons had given her a chance for dialogue, they may have gotten it ...

Castor tried to speak for nearly 15 minutes but the crowd drowned her out, chanting, "You work for us,'' "Tyranny, tyranny,'' and "Read the bill." She left the meeting early, further angering some attendees.[/b]

Maybe they know her agenda....and wanted a chance to speak themselves.........or is that prohibited in these 'town hall meetings'?

5 of us are going to David Wu in Portland, on tuesday. Just ask him softball questions like will you put your family on it, and if so is that a promise. And than ask him why he should represent our district when he has moved him and his family to DC. Im sure we will be tossed by some union thugs.

She wanted no dialogue.  She was giving a speech, not taking questions.

Castor also said she's sure the reform bill will pass: "We're going to fight through the naysayers [and pass the bill], and it will not add to the deficit."

Her mind is made up, no matter what her constituents want.

The union imports were there by design - and the intention was for something ugly to break out, and if that didn't happen at least someone to clap for castor.  If one is a representative - yes a presentation of what is happening needs to take place - then a response.  Since she hasn't said a damned thing up to now - maybe she earned the input.

So she is in lockstep with her "bosses" as opposed to her constituents.  Fine - let her find a new job next election.

Then they should have held a meeting on their own. To not even give her a chance to have them to speak was stupid ... but not unexpected.

She has had the chance to speak, inform and report since she everyday since she was elected.  The healthcare bill the house is working on is on line - some say it is trash - others worse.  Not one report of favor - except in the House.

Castor told her constiutents her decision is made, what is there to talk about if a representative told you to FO - I will do what I want to - rather than represent you.  Frankly - given the import of Union Members, and the limited seating with is ridiculous - this reeks of being set up to end up exactly as it did.

All those people need to go home and get a life and find better use of their time!

I agree with that. Too much free porn on the internet to spend time watching, who needs political protesting in their lives?

Wouldn't it be cool if the president would honor his word and allow OPEN debate? Wouldn't it be cool if Americans could depend on their representatives refusing to allow the president to RAM through a BADLY written bill that expands the police authority of the government?

Wouldn't it be interesting if REPRESENTATIVES listened during town hall meetings instead of busing UNION members into SOUTH TAMPA for the EXPRESS PURPOSE of INTIMIDATING AND SILENCING CASTOR'S CONSTITUENTS?

Wouldn't it be interesting if the administration and the Democrat party weren't using an important issue like healthcare to expand the authority of the Federal government?

Why do you think regular citizens - many of them senior citizens - are angry? It's because they're concerned that the healthcare they already have will be rationed and set aside for younger, healthier Americans (as the architect of the plan, and this president, assert)?
