I'm sure Simms would love to have him join the team.

LOL

Isn't he the one the ruptured Simms' spleen.

No. He's the one that put a wicked hit on Simms late in the 4th when Simms was rolling out. Gruden and Allen were upset about there not being a roughing call, so they cried about that hit being how Simms got a ruptured spleen. Eventhough Simms said it happend in the late 1st and he nearly passed out on the field before that hit.

Panthers cut DE Wallace to clear cap space

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 19, 2007) -- The Carolina Panthers made their first move of the offseason to clear salary cap space by releasing veteran defensive end Al Wallace.

Wallace was a key reserve in 2006, but was scheduled to count almost $2 million against the salary cap next season. Releasing him clears more than $1 million in cap space and will keep the Panthers from paying him an offseason roster bonus.

Wallace, acquired from Miami in a 2002 trade, never missed a game in five seasons with Carolina. Last season he had 30 tackles, three sacks and 13 quarterback hurries. But Wallace turns 33 next month and Carolina is expected to give Stanley McClover, a rookie last season, more playing time in 2007.

Carolina entered the offseason over the salary cap and must make several more key decisions in the next couple of weeks. Carolina must decide whether to keep several veterans, including linebacker Dan Morgan, who missed all but one game last season due to recurring concussions. Morgan said last month that he has been cleared to play next season, but is due a $2 million roster bonus.

I don't know much about this guy, but is he worth taking a look at.
