Tampa Bay kicker Matt Bryant continued to serve as the Bucs offense's only source of point production Sunday by drilling a 43-yard field goal in extremely windy conditions at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. Bryant, who has made 6-of-9 field goals on the season, is the Pewter Report MVP of Tampa Bay's 17-3 loss to New York.
Almost by default, this week’s PewterReport.com MVP honor goes to Buccaneers kicker Matt Bryant, who accounted for Tampa Bay’s only points of the day. Bryant, who was coming off a 62-yard, game-winning field goal last week against Philadelphia, gets credit for nailing a 43-yard field goal in the swirling winds of a blustery Giants Stadium.
After going 3-of-3 on his field goal attempts last week against the Eagles, Bryant has now made four field goals in a row and improved his season field goal percentage to 66.6 percent (6-of-9). Bryant started off the season 2-of-5 (40 percent).
