PewterReport.com has the details of Graham's new contract, which included no signing bonus and no guaranteed money. Pewter Report had previously reported that Graham was scheduled to receive a $1 million in September. However, Graham is actually set to receive the $1 million bonus upon reporting to training camp on July 25.

Bucs running back Earnest Graham inked a new, three-year contract extension worth $10.5 million in new money on Monday, and PewterReport.com reported the details of that contract on Tuesday evening.

However, we have since learned that one of the details Pewter Report reported regarding Graham's contract was inaccurate, and we wanted to correct the record.

Graham's new deal did not include a signing bonus or any initial guaranteed money or incentives.

Graham, 28, was scheduled to earn $605,000 in base salary in 2008. His new deal calls for Graham to earn $1.5 million in base salary this year. Because Graham is a vested veteran, if he is on the opening day roster, his $1.5 million will then become guaranteed for the 2008 season.

Graham is also scheduled to earn a $1 million roster bonus when he reports to training camp on July 25. Pewter Report had previously reported that Graham was scheduled to receive that bonus in September, but we've sinced learned that is not the case and apologize for the mistake.

The Bucs offense finished the 2007 season ranked 11th in rushing, which was the highest a Jon Gruden-coached ground attack ever ranked in Tampa Bay since his arrival in 2002. Graham played an integral role in helping to accomplish that feat by rushing for 898 yards (4.0 avg.) and 10 touchdowns in place of injured running backs Cadillac Williams and Michael Pittman.

Graham's base salary is scheduled to jump up to $2 million in 2009. He is also scheduled to receive a $500,000 roster bonus.

In 2010, Graham is set to earn $2 million in base salary and scheduled to receive a $1 million roster bonus.

The final year of Graham's contract calls for him to earn $2 million in base salary. He is also scheduled to receive a $1.105 million roster bonus in 2011.

I think the 2011 roster bonus has to be $1.5 million, not $1.05 million. Otherwise it doesn't add up.

The final 2011 roster bonus number is correct. The entire deal is worth just over $11 million or $10.5 million in new money.

At least this article was to fix a mistake. I was gettin a little frustrated with all of the articles on the same subject. This would have made the 5th article in 4 days on Grahams contract. I love pewter report, and check it at least 5 times a day, but jeez! I know its July and times are probably quiet, but 5 times over the same thing. I think everyone knows the details of the contract by now.

Sorry for complaining.

Lets go Buccs!! I really feel we have a shot at being a great contender this year!!

Okay this makes more sense that Graham is getting 1 million for reporting and 1.5 million if he makes the team (guaranteed). I didn't think Rosenhaus was going to be a nice guy and not get all his money up front. So basically we are paying Graham 2.5 mil to play this year and after that it all depends on injuries at the RB position. I go with this.
I say do the same for Garcia. Give him and extra 2 mil guaranteed this year besides what he is already getting and sign him for 10 mil next year and the following, but none guaranteed.
Go Bucs

I'm just happy they finally gave this guy some cash. He has been with us for a long time. How can you not root for this guy? He goes from special team ace to starting RB. And the cherry is he helped me win 2 Fantasy Football Championships last season. I snatched him off waivers early. Hopefully the Bucs can ride him to a championship this year. With our current O-Line, I'm expecting a big year out of the running back position. This deal makes a lot of sense.
