Just hours after trimming their 80-man roster down to 75 players, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers parted ways with another player on Tuesday night.

The Bucs have traded defensive end Marques Douglas to the Baltimore Ravens, PewterReport.com is reprting.

According to NFL Network, the Bucs receive a 2009 late-round draft pick and a conditional pick in 2010 that is contingent upon Douglas passing his physical with the Ravens on Wednesday morning.

Douglas joined the Bucs this offseason as an unrestricted free agent. He played with San Francisco (2005-07), New Orleans (2000) and Baltimore (1999, 2001-04).

The 6-foot-2, 293-pound Douglas' base salary was $1 million and his cap value was $2.6 million in 2008. Douglas was not given a signing bonus, but did have a $1.6 million roster bonus. It is unclear whether Douglas received that bonus before being traded to Balitmore on Tuesday night.

Wow, 2 draft picks for a guy I'm sure we would've cut anyway in favor of Wilkerson and Carter? I don't know how B. Allen does it but I'm glad he's on our side. He generally gets the better end of the deal whenever he makes a trade.

I'm a Bucs fan living in the Bay area. Marques is a good guy and was a decent player for the Niners. Was above average early in career, and with age is average but experienced. I think Wilkerson won this battle. Best of luck to him.

Excellent. A draft pick for a guy on the roster bubble!
Maybe the Bucs can get another pick for Chris Simms!

Pinkstob- I had the impression we were gonna cut Douglas anyway. To answer the question posed by last nights chat(Is Douglas a lock ?)-NO HE IS NOT !!!
Wow- 2 picks for a guy we were gonna cut (if he passes his physical).Bruce is all business. Now if he could get a deal done for Boldin.......
We have what Arizona needs- a servicable young QB(simms),a blocking WR(clayton) and picks-lets get it done. Then we will only need a QB next year on offense!!!

Go BIZUCS !!!
