The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have expressed interest in Baltimore Ravens free agent cornerback Corey Ivy, who played for the Bucs from 2001-04. Ivy, who has spent the last three seasons with the Ravens, may visit the Bucs soon.
That includes Baltimore Ravens free agent CB Corey Ivy, who played for the Buccaneers from 2001-04.
Ivy, 31, began his pro career with the New England Patriots in 1999. After his four-year tenure in Tampa Bay ended, Ivy played one season with the St. Louis Rams (2005) and has spent the past three seasons with the Ravens.
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Ivy saw significant playing time as a nickel corner with the Ravens. He has three career interceptions, but Ivy's biggest contributions have come as a special teams ace.
In addition to Ivy, the Bucs have expressed serious interest in free agent cornerbacks Jamar Fletcher (Cincinnati) and Jabari Greer (Buffalo).
The Bucs may attempt to line up visits with Ivy, Fletcher and Greer in the next few days.
In the meantime, Tampa Bay still is interested in re-signing CB Phillip Buchanon, who became a free agent on Feb. 27.

The Bucs are a different beast with Phillips in the box and coming in like a missle blowing up anything that's carrying the football. This guy is worthy of having a handsome longterm deal with the Bucs more than WR Clayton (who has had more injuries and hasn't had as much success as Phillips), Will Allen or anyone else we may have signed from our team.
I don't get it. Phillips has a knack for the ball and has become a total menace for anyone in the defensive backfield.
SHOW JERMAINE PHILLIPS SOME LOVE.
