The Tennessee Titans have signed Tampa Bay Buccaneers unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Jovan Haye. The 6-foot-2, 285-pound Haye is the first of Tampa Bay's free agents to sign elsewhere.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost their first free agent to another team. That happened Monday when free agent defensive tackle Jovan Haye signed with the Tennessee Titans.

Haye, 26, spent the past two seasons as Tampa Bay's starting under tackle. He started 30 games for the Bucs, registering six sacks, all of which came in 2007.

The 6-foot-2, 285-pound Haye originally entered the NFL with the Cleveland Browns in 2005. He spent two seasons in Cleveland and the past three with Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers re-signed DT Ryan Sims before the start of free agency, and he is considered a better fit for new defensive coordinator Jim Bates' system. Tampa Bay also targeted free agent DT Albert Haynesworth before he signed a seven-year, $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins.

Anyone see Haynesworth interview today? When asked "If Derrick Brooks had not been cut, would you have gone to Tampa?"

He answerd "Yeah"

He basicly went on to say that the Bucs cutting all thier starters, especially Brooks, the day before FA started was a factor in him deciding to sign with the Redskins.

Wonder how many other FAs felt this same way?
