Crowell May Be Out For Year

Tampa Bay linebacker Angelo Crowell suffered an arm injury in Saturday night's 24-23 victory at Jacksonville and may be out for the year. Although head coach Raheem Morris did not address Crowell's injury in his post-game press conference, he acknowledged that Crowell's injury may be season-ending in his post-game radio interview.

The Buccaneers were running tests on Crowell's arm on Sunday morning and Morris is expected to meet with beat writers later in the day and provide an injury update as several other players were injured against the Jaguars, including cornerback Elbert Mack (ankle), linebacker Jermaine Phillips (shoulder) and running back Kareem Huggins (knee).

Crowell's brief history with the Bucs has been injury-marred. He missed most of Tampa Bay's organized team activities (OTAs) while recovering from last year's knee surgery, which caused him to miss the 2008 campaign as a member of the Buffalo Bills. Just a few days into training camp, Crowell missed a week's worth of practices and the preseason opener at Tennessee with a hamstring strain.

Morris acknowledged last week that Crowell was facing an "uphill battle" to make the team given the amount of time he's missed due to injury.

Back in March, Crowell signed a one-year deal worth $3 million, including $2 million in base salary. The Bucs would be liable to pick up at least the $2 million base salary if he is placed on injured reserve.

Supposedly a better than average player, when healthy.

What a shame.

It's unfortunate, but he really hasn't been much of a factor. If he gets healthy maybe we can try him at QB (lol)............

How can I get a deal like that? Have an injury history. Get released by my prior team even though I am supposedly hot. Then get $2 million guaranteed if I am injured again.
Who wrote that contract?
