Ward To Start In Place of Williams

PewterReport.com is reporting Bucs running back Derrick Ward will start in place of RB Cadillac Williams vs. the New York Giants on Sunday. Williams is nursing a knee injury and is listed as questionable for the upcoming game.

There is a good chance Ward will receive a lot of work vs. his former team since Williams and RB Earnest Graham (hamstring) are listed as questionable. Bucs RB/return specialist Clifton Smith (quad) is listed as probable.

Bucs wide receiver Anthonio Bryant (knee) and linebacker Matt McCoy (back) are both listed as questionable. Receiver Maurice Stovall (knee) is listed as doutbful. Should both players not be able to play vs. the Giants, WR Brian Clark would make his first career start Sunday.

Center Jeff Faine (triceps) and rookie defensive end Kyle Moore (knee) have been ruled out of Sunday's game.

Bucs tight end John Gilmore (ankle), cornerback Elbert Mack (shoulder) and  practiced all week and are listed as probable.

PewterReport.com will have more on this story later today.

If you're going to "not make any excuses" for losing, no better way than to use brutal schedule and injuries as the, er uh, non-excuse excuse.

sounds bogus to me, I think they are just giving Ward the revenge thing, but I could be wrong just seems like a coincidence.

tblockboi-Bennet's in san diego getting as much work there as he did in Tampa..

I think we should change the team name to Tampon Bay Buccaneers-maybe then we can stop the bleeding....
