Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup offensive lineman Marcus Johnson was arrested on a DUI charge early Tuesday morning according to the Tampa Tribune. Johnson was reportedly asleep at the wheel of his car at the intersection of North Dale Mabry Highway and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard around 4 a.m.

Johnson took a field sobriety test, but refused a breathalyzer test. Johnson (6-6, 320) was signed by Tampa Bay in September. Previously Johnson was with the Oakland Raiders, after spending four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Johnson was a second-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft.

Although the team has no official comment on the matter, ProFootballTalk.com reported Tuesday afternoon that the Bucs released Johnson.
