Derrick Brooks Signs With Sirius NFL Radio

Former Buccaneer linebacker Derrick Brooks has joined Sirius XM Radio. Brooks will host The Red Zone from 1:00-3:00 pm ET every Friday during football season. Co-hosting with Brooks will be former NFL offensive linemen Ross Tucker. Brooks will be taking calls from listeners and interviewing NFL players and coaches.

“I’ve been on SIRIUS NFL Radio many times as a guest and if you’re a fan of this game there’s not a better place to go to talk football,” said Brooks. “Now I get to sit on the other side of the microphone and be the one asking the questions and taking calls from NFL fans. I feel like it’s the start of training camp again and I can’t wait to get started.”

Brooks played 14 seasons for the Buccaneers. En route to leading the Bucs to a Super Bowl Championship, Brooks was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2002. Brooks was on 11 Pro-Bowl teams and was a nine time All-Pro, with six first team selections. Brooks was released by the Buccaneers last February, and was interested in signing with another team but was unable to come to terms.

Thank you for all the hard work and great plays you made for the Bucs, Brooks. It was sad it had to end this way but at least now we can hurry up and induct you into the ring of honor so you can get the respect you richly deserve.
