Bucs Place Cox, Johnson On Injured Reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a few roster moves Monday following their 20-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Bucs placed cornerback Torrie Cox (hip) and punter Dirk Johnson (hamstring) on injured reserve. Both players sustained season-ending injuries vs. the Falcons.

Tampa Bay has promoted cornerback Brandon Anderson from its practice squad to the 53-man roster. The Bucs likely will fill the open spot on their active roster by signing a free agent punter this week.

A few players on Tampa Bay's active roster have field goal holding experience, including wide receiver Brian Clark and quarterback Josh Johnson.

Bucs wide receiver Michael Clayton (knee) is day-to-day, according to Bucs head coach Raheem Morris.

PewterReport.com will have more on this story throughout the day.

PanthersSuck!

Sticking Josh Johnson in at place holder should be a no-brainer!
A holder that can run and throw can gives us some nice options....We need to use any excuse we can to get our young playmakers on the field.

I don't know who has work luck year to year: Askew or Cox.
