Featured Bio

Jim Flynn

Pewter Report Editor-In-Chief

Jim Flynn has been covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2000.

A University of South Florida broadcast journalism major, Flynn became a full-time Pewter Reporter immediately after he graduated from USF with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications in 2002.

Flynn quickly established himself as one of the top Bucs beat writers in the Tampa Bay area by breaking stories and writing compelling feature stories on PewterReport.com, along with his popular columns, Flynn’s Focus and Fourth Down, which appear regularly on-line and in the Pewter Report magazine, respectively.

Flynn prides himself on bringing Bucs fans the news and scoop they crave on a regular basis, and his tireless work ethic has been widely recognized by Bucs fans and by Pewter Report. After subscribing to then-Buccaneer Magazine in 1999, Flynn landed an internship with the publication in 2000. Since being hired full-time in 2002, Flynn has been promoted several times. After starting as a contributing writer, Flynn worked his way up to being assistant editor and managing editor prior to his most recent promotion of associate publisher and editor-in-chief.

In addition to helping produce and write each issue of Pewter Report and operating and updating the PewterReport.com website, Flynn occasionally finds time to sneak away from One Buccaneer Place to make regular appearances on Bright House Sports Network. Bucs fans can also watch Flynn when he appears as a guest on the NFL Network.

Born in Sussex, New Jersey and raised in Palm Harbor, Florida, Flynn lives in the Tampa Bay area with his wife, Jodi, and their Pugs Hanna and Lola.
