After a weekend of roster shuffling following their Thursday night loss to the Redskins in their final preseason game, the Buccaneers have almost put their finishing touches on both their 53-man roster and 10-man practice squad.
So far TE Cameron Brate, RB Jeff Demps, QB Mike Kafka, LB Brandon Magee, DT Matthew Masifilo and WR Solomon Patton have been signed to the practice squad.
Guard Garrett Gilkey, who was with Cleveland last season, tweeted earlier on Sunday that he was officially a Buccaneer. Tampa Bay later confirmed that were awarded Gilkey and waived Josh Allen to make room on the active roster. Gilkey was in Cleveland last season with Bucs line coach George Warhop and was a seventh round draft choice of the Browns in 2013 and started one game last season.
There are four more spots available on the practice squad as it was expanded from eight to 10 players this season.
