Guess we would rather pay a LB $4 million to play after he couldn’t crack the starting lineup last year.

drdn, are you trying to say Lansanah better than B. Carter?

For what it’s worth, the Bucs coaching staff apparently didn’t think so last year.

I hope we resign Lansanah. I thought Last season he was solid. I don’t recall seeing him make many mistakes. Increased production from Alexander at middle linebacker likely played a role in Lansanah’s tackling numbers being less.

Lansanah peaked in 2014 and it’s time for a younger guy who can fill his spot. lets try to keep positions younger when possible.

I have little confidence in this decision. The Bucs could have signed Lansanah and cut him at any point in the next six or seven months without having to pay him much of anything at all. Instead we’re crossing our fingers and assuming that a better linebacker will turn up on our doorstep. Very much like assuming that a running back as good as the best running back in the league will just turn up after the whirlwind of free agency is over. WTF?
