With NFL teams facing a Tuesday deadline to get down to 75 players from their current roster number of 90, the Buccaneers got an early jump on things by announcing 12 roster moves on Sunday. Tampa Bay will still need to make three more cuts before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline. Below is a list of the roster moves.

The biggest surprise on the list was Jace Daniels who after the Jacksonville game on
August 8, was getting some first team reps in practice. Daniels, who played tackle in college, had been working with the guards and centers since last season when he joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Michigan.
Another name that may surprise some was that of wide receiver Tommy Streeter who opened the eyes of fans and media early in training camp. But despite looking good in camp practices, Streeter got few opportunities in any of the three preseason games, catches just one pass, a touchdown against the Jaguars from quarterback Mike Glennon.
Of course some of these players could find their way back to Tampa Bay as members of the Bucs practice squad. The NFL recently expanded the practice squad roster to 10 players, up two from previous years. Teams can begin finalizing their 10-man practice squads on August 31 following the August 30 deadline to get to their 53-man roster.
