Original NFC Pro Bowl Qbs were Favre, Romo and Hasselbeck....  Favre drops out, so lets see who should have filled in for him....

Based on the stats below, I don't think Garcia should go....    the only stats he won over the other QBS was QB Rating...  Garcia only had 327 attempts...  thats 200 FEWER attemtps than a lot of the other QBs...  the longer Garcia played, the lower his rating went...  I think if he played as many games as the others, his rating would be the same...    Garcia played in 13 games this year...    one of those was the Redskins game he got hurt, so lets say he only played in 12 games...   he averaged 1 TD a game, so lets assume he plays 4 more full games and gets 4 more TDs...  and maybe finishes with 17 total TDs...  he's still way below the other QBS...   you can't say Garcia gets extra consideration for leading a team to the playoffs, because then youd have to give that honor to Eli.   there's at least 3-4 QBs more deserving to go to the Pro Bowl than Garcia

he was voted as the alternate, it had nothing to do with the playoffs.

Four more TDs would put him way below the other QBs would it?
That list of your other picks to go instead includes McNabb & Kitna who only had two and one more more TD respectively than what Jeff would have over the season.

Also look at the number off attempts they took to get all those extra TDs, You mentioned the attempts so I know you saw them, we ran the ball more than  the teams those guys play for (except Eli's Giants) so his number would be down. There is more to this than just yardage & TDs, when Jeff played we generally won games and his rating shows he played better on the attempts he made than the other did. Even the TDs, you average the TDs per attempt and I bet that they are all hovering around  the 23 to 25 attempts per TD range (except for Warners which was way better and Kitnas which was way worse)

McNabb quietly had a solid year. I would have picked him over Garcia.

I thought it was about votes. Not sure "picking" is the right term.

Hasselbeck, Romo, and Favre all won their divisions.  I guess they went based on that.

Brady, Manning, and Roethlisberger all won thier divisions.

Garcia was selected as the FIRST ALTERNATE, that means he was fourth. The team was picked after the 12-13 game mark.
Check out his stats after 12 games. And the BUCS winning the division trumps the year Brees had. Or McNabb, or any of the rest.
Bottom line, Garcia led a 4-12 team last year to a 9-5 DIVISION WINNING TITLE this year. That is worthy of being in the probowl.

The BUCS are gonna surprise people this year!
