On Buccaneers.com under Audio. Jon Gruden Radio Show. He said be ready to see a little Aqib Talib on offense. He is really athletic and quick. That wouldnt be a bad thing him going deep a few times. What do you all think about this?? I am all for it.

I would rather see Dex Jackson in at WR and send him long. Use him and have Garcia get him the ball.
That would be better than Talib getting pounded on offense. I would rather Talib get more ints. for TDs.

The BUCS are gonna surprise people this year!

Im for it if he wont get hurt. What concerns me more is that Dextra is so behind in learning plays that Talib gets a shot 1st

I don't know if you've been out to the barn lately, but there aren't any studs in that stable. We could use some fresh blood...

we havent even tried to get dex the ball on offense.... hes the biggest home run threat we've got as far as go routes and slants go. i'd rather risk him getting hurt than one of our best upcoming defensive studs.

    Ridiculous.

We always hear how Gruden might get defensive players involved on offense... and it NEVER happens.

    Snook,

You are correct.  Same applies to all the trick plays that they have run in practive that never see the field come gameday.  You think we could have used one of those vs. Denver? I do...

Talib was a beast at Kansas when he was put in on offense.  I looked at his stats once and it was some crazy number like 8tds on less than 15 touches, think it was more like 10 touches....dude is a playmaker.

Lol yeah looking back it kinda makes me lol too... but you know what i meant... hes the fastest guy we've got... i'd rather use an offensive player on offense, than risk one of our better defenders getting injured playing on the wrong side of the ball.

Can only help out our offense. Maybe we'll finally have someone who can catch the damn ball.

I did the same thing with Raiders using DJ Hall on a go route...put the cruise control on and TD...now would this happen in real life? meh... but it sure was awesome... Talib isn't that fast so I doubt it'd work...

I do not want to see it. Dexter needs a shot before him. Keep Talib on Defense.

Yeah like how about a few jump balls in the endzone, but isn't that what Stovall is supposed to be there for?

Wow -- Warren Sapp.   I'm talking SPEED guys -- Barber, Buchanon... now Talib.

And we always hear about all the trick plays Gruden has -- PR hints at them during training camp -- but we never see them.

Strato -- I'll eat crow if we see Talib (or any other speed player from the D) on offense.   Until then, don't hold your breath.

    1. Shut up about Madden. Nobody cares. I play it too but this is real life and it's irrelevant what you do in Madden when you're having a real life discussion.

    2. Snook is right. Gruden's all talk about doing this. I'll believe it when I see it.

    3. I agree with the 'how about we get a WR involved' mentality. Sounds like a plan.

IMO, if they believed that Dexter was ready to be a wideout, he'd have been out there by now. Frankly, I'm glad #80 is catching the ball again so he isn't a wasted roster spot.

He is fast. I will say this. Even if he isn't ready ( I don't know) they should be throwing him out there a couple times a game and just having him streak. We've got to try to keep opposing D's honest. I never even noticed he made the field yet.

While I do not want to see Talib on offense I am interested in seeing him return punts and kicks. At this point anyone would be better then Dexter "No Traction" Jackson.

Dexter Jackson is a bust. The Bucs took a huge gamble on him and lost. He plays scared on STs. Why anyone would expect him to contribute at WR, after watching him duck and hide week after week, is beyond my comprehension. Bring back Spurlock. At least he catches the ball and runs in the right direction.

Although I really hate how Jackson has played through 6 games, its too early to label him a "bust" just yet.

Keep in mind, most of this message board called Gaines Adams a "bust" through 6 games last season.  Where are those people?
