There weren't many Buccaneers worthy of MVP status in Tampa Bay's turkey of a game – a 38-10 loss at Dallas on Thanksgiving. Former Cowboys wide receiver Joey Galloway had a good game in his return to Dallas and edges out running back Cadillac Williams for MVP honors.

It was hard picking a Pewter Report Most Valuable Player in Tampa Bay’s crushing, 38-10 loss at Dallas on Thanksgiving. While running back Cadillac Williams deserves praise for averaging 4.6 yards per carry against the Cowboys with 17 carries for 78 yards, Pewter Report will honor former Cowboy Joey Galloway, who had three catches fro 71 yards, including a 53-yard catch to set up Tampa Bay’s only touchdown on the day.

Three plays later, Galloway also made a sensational 13-yard grab on third-and-4 over Dallas cornerback Anthony Henry. That amazing grab set up Tampa Bay with a first-and-goal situation at the Dallas 5. Mike Alstott would score a rushing touchdown two plays later that allowed Tampa Bay to take an early 7-0 lead after its opening possession.

Galloway worked hard to get open all day, but rookie quarterback Bruce Gradkowski had a hard time with the timing of the routes and getting him the ball downfield. Gradkowski underthrew Galloway, who was open downfield, on a play-action pass in the first half. Just before halftime, Galloway beat Henry and was open in the end zone but Gradkowski’s pass was late and deflected. Galloway added a 5-yard completion late in the fourth quarter.

Williams also deserves to be praised for his stalwart effort on the ground. He made the most of his holes and had a couple of runs, including a 22-yarder, when he showed elite playmaking ability and creativity.
