The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added several young players to their 2007 roster on Tuesday, including former Washington Huskies linebacker Evan Benjamin (pictured) and former Wyoming wide receiver and punt returner Jovan Bouknight. PewterReport.com has the details.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued to add new players to their 2007 roster on Tuesday, signing wide receivers Efrem Hill, Jovan Bouknight and Kyle Smith, safety Tra Boger and linebacker Evan Benjamin.

Hill, a 6-foot, 179-pounder out of Samford, has spent some time on the Carolina Panthers practice squad over the past two years.

The 6-foot-1, 191-pound Bouknight was signed by Carolina as an undrafted free agent last year after a stellar career at Wymoing. Bouknight was released during the 2006 preseason.

Smith, a 6-foot, 170-pound receiver out of Youngstown State, was signed as an undrafted free agent last year by Minnesota, but was released in preseason roster cutdowns.

Boger, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound safety out of Tulane, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Green Bay Packers last year, but was released in preseason roster cutdowns.

Benjamin started his Washington Huskies career at strong safety before moving to linebacker for his senior season, replacing Marquis Cooper.  The 6-foot, 220-pound Benjamin was an undrafted free agent who signed with Seattle in May 2006, but was released in preseason roster cutdowns.

These players join the addition of former Jacksonville return man and wide receiver Chad Owens, which PewterReport.com reported last week. All of these free agents signed two-year deals except for Smith, who was signed to a one-year contract.
