The Bucs announced their 2009 preseason opponents on Monday. The Bucs will open the preseason with two straight road games in Tennessee and Jacksonville. Tampa Bay will conclude the preseason at home vs. Miami and Houston. The Bucs-Dolphins game on Aug. 27 will be on national television.
The 2009 regular season schedule won't be released until next month, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' '09 preseason opponents are now known.
The Bucs announced Monday that they will open the '09 preseason with two straight road games vs. Tennessee (Aug. 13-17) and Jacksonville (Aug. 20-24).
Tampa Bay will conclude its preseason with home contests vs. Miami and Houston (Sept. 3-4). The Bucs' exhibition contest vs. in-state rival Miami will be nationally televised on FOX on Aug. 27.
This will be Tampa Bay's first preseason under new head coach Raheem Morris and general manager Mark Dominik. They are also scheduled to hold their first mandatory mini-camp at One Buc Place this week. The mini-camp begins Tuesday and ends Thursday.
Tampa Bay's home and away opponents for the 2009 regular season have already been determined, but the schedule will not be released until April at the earliest.
The Bucs will host Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Dallas, Green Bay, the New York Giants, New York Jets and New England Patriots. The Bucs' contest vs. the Patriots will be played in London on Oct. 26.
Tampa Bay will travel to Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, Buffalo and Miami. Bucs 2009 Preseason Opponents
