Due to the poor overall team performance in New England's resounding, 28-0 defeat of Tampa Bay, no Buccaneer played well enough to earn the PewterReport.com Pewter Player of the game. Collectively, Tampa Bay's offense, defense and special teams didn't play well enough to win.

Due to the poor overall team performance in New England's resounding, 28-0 defeat of Tampa Bay, no Buccaneer played well enough to earn the PewterReport.com Pewter Player of the Game. Tampa Bay's offense was pathetic, generating a paltry 138 yards, averaging 2.3 yards per play, scoring zero points and surrendering seven sacks.

The Bucs defense dropped a key interception, allowed 336 yards and allowed the Patriots to convert 44 percent of their third downs while surrendering four touchdowns.

The Bucs' special teams also had a 70-yard punt return by Mark Jones called back due to a holding penalty and had a key roughing the punter penalty that led to a New England scoring drive in the first half.
