The Buccaneers were missing several players on Tuesday's morning practice, but running back Derrick Ward was no longer one of them. Ward has missed several days while nursing a foot injury, but returned to action on Tuesday morning as the team practiced in full pads. The Bucs' injury report remained quite long and included linebacker Geno Hayes (undisclosed) for the first time, in addition to Clifton Smith (hamstring), center Jeff Faine (groin), right tackle Jeremy Trueblood (back), linebacker Angelo Crowell (hamstring), defensive tackle Greg Peterson (knee), center Sean Mahan (calf) and receivers Michael Clayton (hamstring), Joel Filani (hamstring) and Kelly Campbell (quad) did not participate due to injury. Tampa Bay wide receiver Anthony Bryant is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery today to repair the meniscus in his left knee.
