The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will clash with the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 of the 2009 regular season. What happened the last time these two teams met? How did the Cowboys fare last year? Pewter Report has a preview of Sunday's Bucs-Cowboys game.

LAST SEASON:
The Dallas Cowboys went 9-7 during the 2008 regular season, which was good enough for a third place finish in the NFC East division.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers produced a 9-7 regular season record. The team's December collapse resulted in the dismissal of head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen, and the promotion of Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik to head coach and G.M., respectively.

THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET: The Bucs and Cowboys last met during the 2008 regular season. Tampa Bay lost to Dallas on the road in that contest, 13-9.  

BUCS-COWBOYS SERIES:
The Bucs are 3-8 all-time vs. the Dallas Cowboys in the regular season. Tampa Bay has compiled a 2-1 record vs. the Cowboys at home.
