Former Buccaneers center/guard Sean Mahan is going to visit the Oakland Raiders. Mahan will meet with the coaching staff and could potentially sign a contract with them. Tampa Bay released Mahan on Wednesday.
Mahan, a 2003 fifth-round pick, was re-acquired by the Buccaneers in a trade with Pittsburgh last year. Tampa Bay replaced Mahan on the roster with guard Marcus Johnson. The Bucs also claimed rookie center Jonathan Compas off waivers. Compas was released by Oakland on August 31 after being signed as an undrafted free agent on May 4.
