Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said that cornerback Aqib Talib will stay in the lineup. Morris said there has been nothing done to warrant in-house discipline yet because nothing has happened with Talib from a legal and league punishment standpoint.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris said that cornerback Aqib Talib would start against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Talib was arrested in August for battery and resisting arrest without violence. The Bucs have referred to the NFL league office for help on potential discipline for Talib.

"Aqib is playing until I get any other notice," said Morris. "That's as far as I know."

Morris was asked if there would be any in-house discipline for Talib at this point.

"There is nothing to discipline yet," said Morris. "There is no reconciliation with what is going on. There has been nothing with the league. There has been nothing with off the field issues. There has been nothing legally, so not the time for me, not the proper time for me to discipline."

Since the arrest, Talib has played in the Buccaneers preseason games and practiced with the team. The organization has blocked Talib from speaking to the media, and the timetable for his arrest to be resolved legally is undetermined. Defensive coordinator Jim Bates said that Talib does not appear to be distracted.

"Yeah he has been good," said Bates. "You can tell it is game week because his attention to detail has been good."

Bates was asked if he was concerned about his starting left cornerback.

"Oh definitely," said Bates. "Any time one of our players gets in any problems, or has a problem of course we are concerned."
