Don't be surprised if the Buccaneers re-sign center Sean Mahan this week. That's because Jeff Faine injured the triceps muscle in his left arm in the fourth quarter and had to leave the game. Faine told PewterReport.com after the Bucs' 34-21 loss to the visiting Dallas Cowboys that he did not know the severity of the injury.

"I'm getting an MRI tomorrow, so I'll know more about it then," Faine said. "It just happened and I don't know the extent of the injury."

Faine did say that he did not hear a pop that typically means a torn muscle.

Bucs wide receiver Antonio Bryant also missed time in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury believed to be the same one that he had surgery on in August that caused him to miss the preseason. Bryant was replaced in the game by the trio of Brian Clark, Maurice Stovall and rookie Sammie Stroughter.

Tampa Bay starting left guard Jeremy Zuttah also missed time in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury and was replaced by Marcus Johnson.
