The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will clash with the New York Giants in Week 3 of the 2009 regular season. What happened the last time these two teams met? How did the Giants fare last week? Pewter Report has a preview of Sunday's Bucs-Giants game.

LAST WEEK:
The New York Giants traveled to Dallas and escaped with a win over the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Dallas had four turnovers, including three interceptions thrown by QB Tony Romo. Giants wide receivers Mario Manningham and Steve Smith combined for 20 catches for 284 yards and scored two touchdowns vs. Dallas en route to a 33-31 win.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost on the road to Buffalo last Sunday, 33-20. Bucs QB Byron Leftwich threw three touchdown passes and two interceptions, one of which was returned 76 yards for a touchdown. The Bucs defense allowed WRs Lee Evans and Terrell Owens to catch TD passes, and RB Fred Jackson rushed for a career-high 163 yards.

THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET: The Bucs and Giants last met during on Jan. 6, 2008 in an NFC Wild Card playoff game. The Giants escaped Raymond James Stadium with a 24-14 win over Tampa Bay. New York went on to beat New England in the Super Bowl.

BUCS-GIANTS SERIES:
The Bucs are 6-10 all-time in the regular season vs. the New York Giants. The Bucs have compiled a 5-4 record at home vs. the Giants.
