The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will clash with the New York Jets in Week 14 of the 2009 regular season. What happened the last time these two teams met? How did the Jets fare last week? Pewter Report has a preview of Sunday's Bucs-Jets game.

: The New York Jets escaped Canada with a win over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, 19-13. Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez threw a touchdown pass to WR Braylon Edwards before leaving the contest with a knee injury.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Panthers in Carolina on Sunday, 16-6. Bucs rookie QB Josh Freeman threw five interceptions while K Connor Barth missed two field goals. The Panthers rushed for over 150 yards en route to the win.

THE LAST TIME THESE TEAMS MET: The Bucs and Jets last met in October of the 2005 regular season. New York defended its home turf by downing Tampa Bay in that contest, 14-12.

BUCS-JETS SERIES: The Bucs are 1-8 all-time in the regular season vs. the Jets. Tampa Bay is 1-2 all-time vs. the New York Jets in Tampa.
