Although speculation has suggested otherwise, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden won't be returning to coaching in 2010.

Speculation surfaced last week linking Gruden to Washington, where former Bucs general manager Bruce Allen joined the Redskins in the same capacity. Gruden and Allen worked together in Oakland and Tampa Bay. They were both fired by the Buccaneers in January after posting consecutive 9-7 seasons.

Most reports have linked former Denver head coach Mike Shanahan to Washington, where Jim Zorn currently serves as head coach. While calling the Monday Night Football game in Washington tonight, Gruden ended any thought regarding the possibility of him returning to the sideline in 2010, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

"I'm not coaching," Gruden said.  "I'm gonna stay with the team I'm on.  The only team I'm gonna coach is my 13-year-old son's flag football team."

Gruden is the winningest head coach in Bucs history. He served as Tampa Bay's head coach from 2002-08, winning three NFC South division titles and Super Bowl XXXVII. Gruden still has two years remaining on his contract and is scheduled to receive approximately $5 million per year in 2010 and 2011.
