Bucs left tackle Donald Penn left the game with 5:22 left in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury. Left guard Jeremy Zuttah took over at left tackle and Shawn Murphy filled in at left guard for Zuttah.
After the game, Penn said that the knee injury wasn't serious although he will likely undergo an MRI and medical evaluation on Monday.
"It's okay," Penn said. "If there was a game next Sunday I'd play in it."
Penn has a chance to become an unrestricted free agent depending on the outcome of the Collective Bargaining Agreement talks between the NFL and the NFL Players Association. The CBA is set to expire at the end of the 2009 season and the 2010 year will be uncapped if it is not extended.
That means that Penn, who just finished his fourth season in the NFL, will not be an unrestricted free agent as special rules state that players must have six years in the league to hit free agency. If the CBA is extended Penn will become an unrestricted free agent.
