The representatives for a number of players that could be potential targets for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have heard nothing from the organization. That list includes: Indianapolis Colts cornerback Marlin Jackson, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Benny Sapp, Jacksonville Jaguards defensive end Reggie Hayward, Washington Redskins wide receiver Antwon Randle El, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin, and many others have heard anything from Tampa Bay.

A few free agents that quickly signed contracts did not hear from the Buccaneers before striking their deals. Free agent wide receiver Nate Burleson from Seattle heard nothing from Tampa Bay before signing with the Detroit Lions. Blocking tight end Brandon Manumaleuna signed with Chicago, and tight end/fullback Kris Wilson re-signed with San Diego without hearing from the Bucs.

ESPN's Adam Shefter said that free agent defensive end Aaron Kampman has drawn interest from Seattle, but has not scheduled any visits yet.
