What do pundits outside of the Tampa Bay area think of the Buccaneers and the direction in which the team is headed under the Glazers, head coach Raheem Morris, general manager Mark Dominik and Co.?

NFL Network host Rich Eisen and analysts Mike Mayock and Marshall Faulk chime in on the Bucs' direction and what the team should do in the 2010 NFL Draft. Mayock goes as far as saying the Bucs could find themselves in position to draft either Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy or Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh should St. Louis and Detroit go with a quarterback and offensive tackle, respectively.

Conceivably that could happen, and if it does everyone in Tampa Bay is jumping for joy, but all they need is one of those [defensive tackles]. You're talking about a team that is ranked 32nd against the run and they've got multiple needs everywhere. Marshall, I don't know what you think about the state of this franchise, but I'm a little bit puzzled by the direction they're headed in.

PewterReport.com's Take: No one can blame Mayock or anyone else for that matter for being puzzled by the direction of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a known fact that the Bucs are a young, rebuilding team, but some can't help but scratch their heads over the fact that a team coming off a 3-13 season has sat idle in free agency. One thing is for sure -- if the Bucs do happen to find themselves in position to choose either McCoy or Suh with the third overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, all of the sudden the Tampa Bay franchise might have a more favorable perception than it does right now.
