The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought two free agents in for visits at One Buccaneer Place Friday. One player -- linebacker Jon Alston -- signed a contract with Tampa Bay on Friday night. The other -- Eagles safety Sean Jones -- left without signing a contract, but still is an option for the Bucs.

The Bucs could still land Sean Jones but the free agent safety has at least one more visit to make before he makes up his mind on where to play in 2010.

Jones is expected to visit the Tennessee Titans on Monday.

PewterReport.com's Take: The Buccaneers would like to sign Jones, especially since Brodney Pool was signed by the New York Jets earlier this week. He was a player the Bucs were scheduled to visit with before he became a Jet. Jones, 28, has started 53 games and has 16 career interceptions since entering the league in 2004. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Jones is a player the Bucs would like to have compete with Sabby Piscitelli for the starting strong safety job. As long as he could stay healthy, Jones probably would win the job, which could be a factor in his decision in terms of where to play in 2010. Of course, money will be a significant factor as well.
