The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have sought the advice of Ari Fleischer to help them find a replacement for Jeff Kamis as their director of public relations. Fleischer was the press secretary for President George W. Bush, and has advised the Packers in the past. He currently advises Tiger Woods and the NCAA. Daniel Kaplan writes in Sports Business Daily:

"I am helping spread the word for the Bucs about their opening and am holding preliminary talks with some candidates," Fleischer said in an e-mail. "The rest of the interview process and the decision about who to hire are determined by the Bucs."

PewterReport.com's Take: The Buccaneers owners, the Glazer family, are facing increasing fan frustration from the two professional sports teams they own- the Bucs and Manchester United. Fleischer has a lot experience and success in dealing with the media and the public in delicate situations. The Bucs have lost their season ticket waiting list, and had a plethora of empty seats at Raymond James Stadium last year. Tampa Bay is tied with Kansas City for the lowest payroll in the NFL. The Glazers want to try and turn around the public perception of the team, and hope that Fleischer could lead them down that path.
