Although he hasn't been made available to the media yet, new Tampa Bay safety Sean Jones talked about leaving the Eagles for the Buccaneers on the team's official website.

Jones, 28, signed a two-year contract with the Bucs on Wednesday evening. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick with Cleveland in 2004. Jones, who has notched 16 career interceptions, is expected to compete with Sabby Piscitelli for a starting job in 2010.

"I feel I'll fit in well. We ran a lot of Cover 2 in Cleveland, and I was there five years, so I'm very comfortable with that scheme," Jones told Buccaneers.com. "I'm just excited about the opportunity Tampa Bay has given me. I'm just ready to work and get everything going."

The feeling appears to be mutual from Tampa Bay's coaching staff, including head coach Raheem Morris.

"He’s a nice box presence, but he also has some athleticism on the back end and some big-time movement,” Morris told the St. Petersburg Times. “You’re talking about a guy who, when you see him, you’ll see a demanding presence. You’ll see a guy who comes in the box and you have to account for.

“He has all the qualities we like. We’re fired up to have him.”
