Tampa Bay Buccaneers free agent defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson is scheduled to visit with the St. Louis Rams on Friday morning. Wilkerson, 29, notched 11 sacks in his two seasons with the Buccaneers. He's currently recovering from ACL surgery.
Tampa Bay has already lost a few players since the free agent signing period began on Mar. 5, and now it appears another Buccaneers free agent may be on the move.

Bucs defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson is scheduled to visit with the St. Louis Rams on Friday morning, according to Wilkerson's agent, Harold Lewis.

Wilkerson, 28, spent the past two seasons with the Buccaneers, notching 11 sacks, including a career-high six quarterback takedowns in 2009 before suffering a season-ending ACL tear in December. He currently is recovering from surgery to repair his knee.

The 6-foot-2, 270-pound Wilkerson notched just one sack with his first NFL team -- the Kansas City Chiefs -- from 2003-07. Wilkerson proved to be versatile player along Tampa Bay's defensive line and one of the team's better pass rushers. The Bucs notched just 28 sacks and ranked dead last (32nd) against the run last year.

Although he will spend Friday morning in St. Louis, Wilkerson is a player Tampa Bay remains interested in re-signing. The Bucs have lost a few free agents this offseason, including wide receiver Antonio Bryant, safety Will Allen, wide receiver Brian Clark and linebacker Matt McCoy.
