PewterReport.com is announcing changes to its editorial staff. Bucs beat writer Charlie Campbell will be promoted to PewterReport.com editor-in-chief, replacing Jim Flynn, who is leaving PewterReport.com after 10 years of service. The changes will be effective April 10.

The PewterReport.com editorial team is announcing changes to its editorial staff, effective April 10.

Pewter Report Bucs beat writer Charlie Campbell will be promoted to editor-in-chief, replacing Jim Flynn, who is leaving Pewter Report after 10 years of service.

A graduate of the University of Chicago, Campbell originally joined the Pewter Report editorial team in April of 2008. He has since established himself as one of the top Bucs beat writers with popular features such as PI Quick Hits and Pewter Prospect profiles of draft eligible players.

In addition to working behind the scenes on PewterReport.com's new state-of-the-art website, which will debut this summer, Campbell and Pewter Report publisher Scott Reynolds will continue to work together to cover the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as credentialed members of the media.

"It has been an honor and a pleasure working with Jim," said Campbell. "I have learned a tremendous amount from him. We will miss him.

"In my two years at Pewter Report I have learned a lot and am ready to help our team build on the Bucs coverage we've already been successful in delivering to the fans in my new position. I will continue to work as hard as I can to deliver the news and scoop Bucs fans have come to expect from our reporting."

Flynn first joined Pewter Report (formerly Buccaneer Magazine) as an intern in 2000. He became a full-time reporter immediately after graduating from the University of South Florida in 2002.

It is with a heavy heart that Flynn leaves Pewter Report for another opportunity in a different career path outside of journalism.

"I've witnessed firsthand how PewterReport.com has grown in terms of credibility, coverage and web traffic, and it was an honor to be a part of it," said Flynn. "I have no doubt that the Pewter Report team will continue to demonstrate solid reporting and that the thousands of Bucs fans that have generously supported Pewter Report over the years will continue to choose PewterReport.com as the place to go for breaking news and analysis on their favorite NFL team.

"I enjoyed working with a great team of hard-working people in Hugh MacArthur, Scott Reynolds, Charlie Campbell, Kim Roper, Cliff Welch and others in the advertising sales department during my stay with the company. It has been a pleasure working with each of them and covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I also want to thank our loyal subscribers and website visitors for their support over the years. It has been my privilege to bring you the best Bucs coverage and inside scoop that I could deliver for a decade. I will cherish the great memories, but it's time for a new chapter in my life and I look forward to the challenge. "

Publisher Scott Reynolds brought Flynn into the Pewter Report fold in 2000 and has enjoyed working with him as partners on the Buccaneers beat over the past decade.

"Jim has worked his way up the company ladder from being an intern to becoming a writer and then on to becoming Pewter Report's editor-in-chief. I am very proud of his accomplishments within our company," Reynolds said. "While I will miss working with him on a daily basis, I am extremely excited about the new career path that Jim is taking and wish him well. Ten years is a long time to be employed at one place and he had a tremendous impact on Pewter Report's success during his tenure.

"One of Jim's biggest successes at Pewter Report was hiring Charlie to become our beat writer back in 2008. I am thrilled that Charlie will have the opportunity to continue to grow within our company. He's worked very hard for this promotion and it's well deserved. Together we will open up the search for an additional staff writer prior to the start of Buccaneers training camp."
