Second-year running back Earnest Graham finally got the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a much-needed touchdown in the third quarter when he took a handoff from quarterback Chris Simms and started right before cutting all the way back to the left, following a block by wide receiver J.R. Russell into the end zone on a 19-yard score. Graham finished the game leading all rushers with 60 yards on 14 carries, which earned him PewterReport.com MVP honors.
Graham, whose performance tonight all but assured him of a roster spot, leads the Bucs this preseason with 142 rushing yards on 31 carries (4.5 avg.) and a total of three touchdowns, including a receiving score. It's worth noting that out of the four touchdowns Tampa Bay has scored this preseason, Graham has scored three of them. Graham showed good power, vision, patience and speed in the Bucs' fourth preseason game.
