Pewter Report has spoken with more Bucs staff in the hours since it was announced that college personnel assistant Richard Mann II has gone to the Washinton Redskins. Mann II has worked in the Bucs front office for the past three seasons, and was held in high regard by the Buccaneers organization. Mann II was known for working long hours as a personnel assistand in the pro and college scouting departments.
Bucs officials have told Pewter Report that Mann II was offered a position to stay with Tampa Bay, but chose to take the opportunity in Washington because of family in the DC area, and other family considerations.
Mann II will be reunited with former Bucs general manager Bruce Allen, who now is the Redksins general manager. Mann II is the son of former Buccaneers wide receivers coach Richard Mann, who coached the Bucs receivers from 2002-2009.
