According to a post by St. Petersburg Times writer Stephen Holder via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are continuing to sign some undrafted free agents for depth along the offensive line. The latest siginging is Minnesota center Jeff Tow-Arnett. After signing Virginia Tech guard Sergio Render after the draft, Tampa Bay signed Texas A&M guard/tackle Michael Shumard on Wednesday. Holder writes:

Undrafted center Jeff Tow-Arnett is signing with the Bucs today, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Tow-Arnett reportedly went through a tryout and obviously fared well.

PewterReport.com's Take: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not draft an offensive linemen. Thus signing Render, Shumard, and Tow-Arnett is a good idea to create competition for the backup positions. The Bucs have their starting offensive line set, but they don't have any backups with significant experience. The Buccaneers will need to find some depth along the offensive line during the OTAs and training camp. Last year the line's production was hurt badly when center Jeff Faine went out with an injury.
