The NFL has announced that the 2014 Super Bowl will be played in New York/New Jersey. New York/New Jersey and Tampa, FL were the finalists to host the Super Bowl.
PewterReport.com's Take: Many believed the vote was a formality because New York was forcasted to be the host of the Super Bowl. The NFL is reportedly making an exeception to the rule that the Super Bowl has to be played indoors or in a warm climate. It is unfortunate that NFL will let New York host the Super Bowl but not other cold weather cities like Chicago, Denver, Green Bay, Washington D.C., Baltimore, etc. The league office is located in New York, and annually the NFL draft is hosted in New York. The league clearly indulges on the city at the expense of fans in other cities across the rest of the nation.
